As Compassion Works Counseling and Consulting is expanding, we are looking for dedicated and compassionate licensed mental health therapists (including associates) to join our virtual private practice. Our practice is committed to providing exceptional care to our clients, and we are seeking clinicians who share our passion for mental health and wellness.

The Compassion Works Counseling and Consulting provides a work environment that allows you to provide excellent counseling services while respecting who you are as a clinician. Position: Licensed Mental Health Therapist - LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LPC Associate, LMFT Associate. 

Position Type: 1099 Contract (Part time or Full time)

Location: Virtual/Texas

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field
  • Most possess a valid license as a mental health therapist in the state of Texas or a related field, from an accredited institution. (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LPC associate, LMFT associate, or equivalent. If candidate is Associate level, they must secure their own supervisor)
  • Strong clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based practice
  • Ability to self-market along with company marketing
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willing to learn new counseling skills and techniques
  • Willingness to be credentialed through Headway and accept insurance clients
  • Possess excellent time management skills for note taking and start/stop of sessions
  • Pursue wholeness for self-of-the-therapist
  • Experience contacting clients via phone call or email regarding scheduling and billing 
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide theoretically grounded therapy to individuals, couples, and/or families (whichever population best suites the therapist experience and expertise)
  • Prefer candidates who are clear on their niche and client population of expertise
  • Prefer candidates who are outgoing and motivated to network and build caseload
  • Prefer candidates who enjoy managing their own calendars and client communication 
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Ensure all clinical documentation in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is up to date daily, including treatment planning, progress notes, and assessments
  • Must carry a malpractice insurance policy for 1,000,000/3,000,000 aggregate coverage and maintain state licensure in Texas
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Upholds healthy personal and professional boundaries
  • Stay current with best practices and continuing education in the field of mental health
